  1. Cultures were grown in 50 mL modified Lin’s medium (pH 6.0) inoculated with 50 calcium alginate beads and incubated at 120 rpm and 25ºC for 10 days. Calculated mean is for triplicate measurements from two independent experiments. The means with different superscripts in the same column are considered statistically different (LSD test, P ≤ 0.05)
